Turquoise Kingman Squash Blossom Necklace Set
Sterling Silver Kingman Turquoise Squash Blossom Necklace & Earring Set. This is a handmade, Native American set. It is stamped by the artist, Thomas Francisco. Squash Blossom necklaces are sacred in Native American beliefs. Native Americans wore squash blossoms for the crescent shape, which they called “Naja”. The symbolism of the Naja is for protection. It is believed that the squash blossom would protect them on horseback and from the evil eye. Squash Blossoms are known for their protection against negativity. The silver work that was put into this piece is amazing. The coloring of the Kingman turquoise is gorgeous. The orange and light brown bands running throughout the turquoise is beautiful!
